Pressure sensitive adhesives include duct tape, masking tape, packaging tape, electrical tape and others, these create a strong bond between tape and the substrate.

• Duct tape is a soft pressure tape made with a powerful adhesive glue. Strong and multi-purpose, it could be used in many different cases. It creates a very strong bond. Such a powerful industrial tape can be used for high-stake transportations, for example, water sealing military equipment.

• Masking tape is made of an adhesive that can be easily released, and it is commonly used for the house tasks, like taping a paper to a window.

• Packaging tape is often used for securing packages, so that they will not loosen, break or burst.

• Electrical tape is made of non-conductive, pressure sensitive materials, which can insulate electrical wires and other conduits.

There are some other pressure sensitive adhesive tapes that we might have not used before. They are gaffer’s tape, marking tape, sealing tape, 3M tape, various styles of printed tape, acid free tape, double-sided tape, side tape and paper tape

• Gaffer’s tape is a pressure sensitive tape that looks like heavy cotton cloth with a strong adhesive. Most often, gaffer tape is often seen in stage and theater tasks like laying blocking markers and securing cinematic electronics.

• Marking tape is used to mark areas and notify people where equipment should go. You can find them in many warehouses and factories.

• Sealing tape is used to fix up the mating surfaces or materials. For example, we use them to seal a broken pipe. There are many different kinds in the market. Printable carton sealing tape, hot melt carton sealing tape could be the most common types.

• 3M tape comes from the company known as 3M. The most popular product of this category is Scotch Tape，widely used in many different industries.

• Printed tape is any tape with some customized logos or patterns printed on it.

• Acid free tape does not contain any acids. Acid-free tape is safe for use on alkaline materials or acid sensitive items.
